Rick Shampaine has been active in franchise development since 1984, consulting to several dozen franchise companies in such diverse industries as travel, home services, food, and consumer products. To date, he has assisted more than 800 families in becoming owners of their own businesses. He operated the Franchise Network (FranNet) Franchise Broker office for the West Coast of Florida from 2000 to 2008, and was, for five years, Vice President for FranNet, responsible for its relationships with franchise companies. He currently operates as an independent franchise and business broker, service clients throughout the U.S.

Rick emphasizes the “matchmaking” aspects of franchise consulting. “Not only is business ownership not for everyone, but not every franchise fits every entrepreneur”, he feels. “The key is to match the prospect with the best and most affordable franchises that coincide with that person’s needs, strengths, and resources.” It is to this aim that Rick consults with his clients, charging no fee for the services rendered.

Rick has a J.D. (law) degree with highest honors from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association. His Professional and Community affiliations include:
